Caricatures and Animations - the perfect addition to an online conference

FSM - (Faecal Sludge Management) Alliance.  Civic and Social Organizations from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It is an organization that strives to provide safely managed fecal sludge for all.

They envision a world where everyone enjoys equitable access to safely managed and dignified sanitation services, recognizing and treating human waste as a valued resource, improving health, reducing poverty, and safeguarding the environment.

The FSM - Alliance has a conference every year. This is the world’s only conference dedicated to the topic. It aims to share the latest knowledge, and case studies from around the world. In 2021 the organization celebrated its 10th anniversary of the conference. Unfortunately, there was a pandemic, so the participants come together online. The client wanted to give a unique and memorable virtual gift for their year's best colleagues Chris and Yves. They aimed to make a special video for them.

Challenge:

In the first step, we received photos of Chris and Yves. Tomi is a caricaturist so he created sketches and character drawings. When the client approved his drawings in the second step we started to work together with them on the scripts and storyboards. We figuring out 2 short stories and one 3 sec animation. Finally, we created custom animations that were good for celebrating the amazing achievements of Chris and Yves! allowed the client to give them a unique and memorable gift. The animation included personalized animations and funny moments about the two of them, adding an extra special touch to their special day. We hope these animations brought a smile to their faces and served as a special keepsake for years to come.

Solution:

We had a short time until the conference, but we successfully fished the project within 6 weeks. We also helped out with video editing and animated title productions.`
